The best way to do this is to understand your customer and think about the type of words they would search in order to find you. Search engines take these keywords and find matching words within the resulting websites. Also take into consideration that most people tend to ask questions within the search query as well.

Lastly, make sure you are using the correct search engine for your business/website. Each search engine has vastly different demographics, so if you are using one that does not cater to the customer you want, your SEO will be greatly affected.

Another helpful tool when trying to add keywords to your website is to build an outline. Take the broadest word that describes your particular product and simply add more specific words to it.

Search Engine Results: Organic vs. Paid SEO?

SEO results appear in two different forms, organic SEO and paid SEO. Organic SEO is an unpaid form of SEO that occurs when methods are used to obtain high placement on a search engine’s result list. These methods could include demographic research, keyword optimization, and high quality content. Paid SEO results occur when companies pay webpages to display their ads when a word entered within a search query match words on their website.

One way to tell the difference between an organic result and a paid result is to look at the placement of the listing. If the listing is high at the top of the page or at the very bottom of the page with a border or shaded background it has been paid for. The listings found in between these are typically organic and not for profit.

One type of SEO is not better than the other; it simply depends on the willingness to spend money or wanting to put effort into building your SEO. Obviously the paid SEO’s will be much easier to obtain simply because they do not rely on viewers for their spot in the search engine listing. This being said, top listing organic SEO’s tend to have the most viewers and, by default, more customers.
